Consumer Product Safety Information Database
The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) proposes to establish a publicly available database where consumers can find product safety information. The proposed database would allow product users to submit reports of harm or injury and that information will be provided to product manufacturers. Although well intended, much needs to be considered, such as confidentiality issues, how to deal in accurate reports/information, etc. The CPSC is accepting written comments until July 23, 2010.
